May 8--Mother's Day Activities

Thank you so much for coming to our first Mother's Day Event.  We had 100% attendance.  The kids were so happy to have their moms and grandmas at school with them.   Thank you for all you do for us!  We appreciate it!

Week of April 20--Naturalist in Residence

On Friday we had our last Naturalist in Residence with Sarah Uebel.  We walked around in our very own school wetlands and went on a nature scavenger hunt.  The kids had a blast searching for various nature related things.  It was a little cold and windy, but we were very lucky that we did not get rained on (just a few drops).  My daughter Katie visited us for "take your child to school day" and she is in a few of the pictures.

Week of April 14--Lots of fun activities!

Math Buddies:
The kids love playing with our spinners to create big numbers.  Such a fun activity.

Garden Visit With Mr. Canning:
Mr. Canning came to visit us and taught us about how seed move.  The kids were great listeners.  They were then able to go out to our Mt. View garden and plant flowers.  The loved being outside and contributing to the garden.

Cash Registers:
The kids are enjoying using the cash registers.  So far it has just been an exploration.  Soon we will set up a store and have them "buy" things.

Food Adventures:
Ms. Clara came in and taught the kids how to make a salad wrap.  The kids used pepper, celery, broccoli and sun flowers.  They also had some ranch to go along with their food.  Such a fun  and yummy activity.  If you can donate to the program, please send in a dollar.
