Everyday we need to take a lunch count of what the kids will be having for school lunch. There is almost always a red, yellow, and green choice (on Fridays the yellow choice is often not there). This helps our kitchen cook prepare the right amount of food.
I always try to have some type of exploration/sensory table available for the kids to explore. This month I have some pumpkins, gourds, and indian corn for them to measure using standard measurement (tape measures) and non-standard measurement (unified cubes and popsicle sticks).
We made some cool leaves for art and hung them on our tree outside our classroom. We have watercolor leaves and tissue paper leaves. Both were fun activities.
We have a focus wall where we practice our letters, our calendar, our numbers, and how many days we have been in school. My daily helpers are now responsible for going over the activities with our class.
