Exploring Moon Sand (cornstarch and baby oil)

Making Flubber (cornstarch, glue, borax, and water)

Flubber

Making Gak (equal parts liquid starch and glue)

Gak

Vaughn and Ava are playing with the pink Gak

Alex and Zander are having fun with the pink Gak.

Aides likes the Flubber.

Gabby is observing the Flubber.

Jack isn't to sure about the Gak.

Aiden loves the Gak.

More Moon Sand.

Inga and Garrett love the stringy Gak

More messy Gak.

Look at those girls play.

Hannah has a Gak hand.

Using good playdoh and not so good playdoh.  Which one is which?
The kids discovered the difference pretty fast.

Oobleck (cornstarch and water) is a liquid and a solid.  The kids loved it.  I loved it.
The other teachers loved it and played with it after the kids left.

Ooey, gooey, slimy.  Yet it is also a solid.  Go figure!

Oobleck can be very messy.

What a fun time we all had playing with Oobleck.
If you have never made it at home here is the recipe.
Mix 6 cups of cornstarch with 3 cups of water.
That's it!
