Open Play 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with Kinders

We have open play 2-3 times a week, usually from 2:00-2:30.  The kids are free to explore the classroom, use the play kitchen area, the blocks, the toys, any sensory activities that are made available and observe any animals we may have for science.

We have an apple sensory container, full of split peas, pom poms, cups, tweezers, etc. for the kids to explore.

 Evan, Garrett, and Miri had fun exploring.

We also incorporate some science exploration during this time.  

Right now we are observing our snails…next are worms.

Today the kids got to pick up the snails.  Abigail loved her snail.  

She actually loved all the snails and had a blast touching them.

Giovanni thought his snail was cool but slimy.

Hannah wasn't too sure.
